Students Living on Campus: Residence Hall Move-In

For those living on campus, students will receive more information about move-in after housing assignments are made in early December. New students move into their residence halls as assigned by the Office of Residence Life in their move-in packets. Move-in will be held between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM on Sunday, January 10. Email reslife@belmont.edu you for more information on move-in day and living on campus.

OPENING SESSION

Welcome to the Opening session! To kick off our time together, you will meet the Orientation Council – your ten student hosts for the day. You will also hear from Belmont University President Bob Fisher as well as from Dr. Todd Lake, Vice President of Spiritual Life. Later in this session, key campus leaders will discuss Belmont’s plans for the spring semester.

Student Connection Session

STUDENTS ONLY

Part of the beauty of Belmont is our community! In this student only session, you will have the chance to turn on your camera and meet other new students. Each Zoom breakout group will consist of an Orientation Council member (current student) and approximately 10 new students. You’ll need your MyBelmont username and password to access the Connect Sessions.

Living & Learning at Belmont

In this mid-day session, we will cast a vision of life at Belmont by highlighting all the exceptional resources and opportunities awaiting you. Later in this session, we will here from Student Financial services regarding investing in your education.

Meet Your College & Register for Classes

It is now time to connect with your academic college! Students who have already registered for courses can connect with key staff and faculty from their college as well as get key questions answered. Students needing to register for courses can utilize this time to register for courses. During this session, key staff and faculty members in your college will go over courses specific to your major and provide a step-by-step process on how to register for courses. You’ll need your MyBelmont username and password to access the College Sessions.

Harrington Place Dining in Johnson Center Dining Hall

New Students enjoy a complimentary dinner prepared by the Belmont Dining Services. The Orientation Council will be in the Dining Hall awaiting your arrival. This meal is complimentary for spring semester start students.

Zoomin’ with the Bruins is the perfect way to end your first day of your virtual Spring Orientation experience! This is your chance to sit back and connect with the Orientation Council and other new Bruins. Click on the zoom room below as you connect with others based on your interests. Don’t miss out on this must attend event!

In Person Option

Meet in Beaman Student Life Center Lobby

Join the Orientation Council and connect with other new students. The group will meet in the Beaman Student Life Center lobby, and then connect in one of the many student spaces on campus. This relaxed gathering will provide you with an opportunity to meet your fellow Bruins!

Taking Care of the Details

We know that the start of your semester is a busy time filled with last minute appointments and details. We’ve designed the orientation schedule so that you can visit on-campus offices as well as run important errands. At this time, the Orientation Council will be available to help point you in the right direction to take care of your last-minute needs.

All on-campus offices are open from 8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. today. Walk-in appointments are available at many offices you may wish to visit, and these offices can assist you in answering questions you might have regarding your time at Belmont. We’ve created a list of suggested items that can help you get your academic year started. Not knowing where to go, email us at orientation@belmont.edu and we will help you out!

  • Visit Student Financial Services for any personal questions regarding your student account or tuition payment options
  • Visit Belmont Central to add Bruin Bucks to your student account
  • Stop by Campus Security to pick up your Belmont Student ID or parking decal
  • For any questions regarding transfer credits from previous institutions, visit the Office of the Registrar located in the Gabhart Student Center
  • Log into your MyBelmont account to adjust your schedule or review it.
  • If needed, visit Counseling Services, Disability Services or Health Services for assistance in setting up your continuation of care.
  • Visit a local department or grocery store to get final supplies before classes start.
